Moan of the week

Queen Is it me or have we all had enough of the rain!! According to the London weather forecast today: rain, tomorrow: rain. On Wednesday and Thursday: cloudy and on Friday: rain…..

Anyway, on a brighter note, why not celebrating the Queen’s Jubilee a little in advance and visit the Museum of Brands (£6.50—2 Colville Mews, London, W11—tube station: Notting Hill Gate )

You will see souvenirs and commemorative (in memory) products which were made to celebrate the royal jubilees of the past.

Geffrye MuseumIf you don’t fancy it (want to go), then why not go to the Geffrye Museum in Old Street (136 Kingsland Rd)?

You will learn about the evolution of interior design in England from 1600 to present for free!

Tips From Teachers

StudyToday I have asked all our teachers what tip they had for our students and one big tip is LEARNER AUTONOMY. What does that mean? Simply that as well as coming to class, you can improve your English by going to the Student Resource Centre where there are many activities and books at your disposal. The centre is opened from 8:30am until 6:30pm.

Another way to improve your English, without the help of your teach-ers is to read in English things that interest you in your mother tongue, whether it be fashion, sport or cars. This way, you increase your bank (range) of vocabulary while enjoying reading.

One final suggestion is to attend the social programme every Wednesday, as you will meet students from other countries, socialise and speak English.
