How to Learn English Fast – Do an Internship in London!

How to Learn English Fast with a London Internship

Hi Everyone. Want to know how to learn English fast?

My name is Pierre-Antoine and I am a new trainee at Bloomsbury International! About me? I am 22 years old, I am a French student in a Business School in Paris, and I’m so happy to join the team at Bloomsbury!

In the future, I would like to specialise in logistics or purchasing; however, I need to improve my English because this language has become inescapable in the business world nowadays! So, I am so glad because Bloomsbury will help me not only to complete this objective, but the school will also give me real professional experience.

I’m planning to stay at Bloomsbury International for 6 months (until November) and I’m very excited to meet and work with people from all over the world! If you are currently learning English at the school, don’t forget to come and say hello!

My first day at Bloomsbury International

Tuesday was my first day at Bloomsbury International and I was so impressed by the organisation of the school. When you are a new student and arrive at the school, you are immediately supervised by the Bloomsbury team.  After an assessment test and a discussion with a member of staff about your objectives, an appropriate class is selected and you can join your class straight away. So don’t worry about your level of English, you will improve it in great conditions! 🙂

It was fun to speak with students who come from all over the world! Italian, Japanese, Korean, German… Wow, what a great way to better my English! I also spoke to the English teachers who have already given me some great English study tips.

A beautiful district, a historical building, a friendly team, a lot of nationalities, this internship is going to be so enriching!

My first impression of London

Today it has been 1 week since I arrived in London! An important thing: WHAT LUCK, the weather was perfect for the first few days! In France we always say that the weather in England is horrible (always raining), but in the beginning I thought everyone was lying – there was no rain, only a red face thanks to sunshine… Unfortunately, now I have to experience the real weather of England and buy an umbrella!!

Feeding a Squirrel

Squirrels eat everything… including human hands!

Well, first I went to Piccadilly Circus  and Camden Town because there are a lot of clothes shops, cafes, pubs etc. If you need clothes, you can also go to Bond Street. These districts are very dynamic and it is a pleasure to walk through the streets. On Sunday I went to Buckingham Palace where I saw the Changing the Guard ceremony! It is very attractive thanks to the costumes, the music, etc. The ceremony takes place almost every day between May and July, and I would really recommend it! Finally, I went to Hyde Park where I saw some funny squirrels! A very good place for picnics and sport because the park is so huge.

This weekend I’m planning to go to Marble Arch and take a tourist bus called “Big Bus – London Sightseeing Tour”. With over 80 stops, 3 main sightseeing routes and countless photo opportunities, London Sightseeing Tour can be a good way to see London and famous landmarks. I will let you know how it was next week!

If you want to learn English fast, you also have to enjoy it. Word games are a fun way to improve your English speaking and English writing.

Have fun with English!
