The course is the logical second year study option for holders of the CTHCM Diploma in Hotel Management. The syllabus builds on the theoretical knowledge acquired at Diploma level and complements this with the business administration techniques and practical skills that are required by those aspiring to management roles within large international hotels. Although well recognised as a qualification in its own right the course is generally used as a pathway to the Bournemouth University bachelor's degree course in International Hospitality and Tourism Management and which takes only one further year of study following completion of the CTHCM Advanced Diploma. The programme will be taught over a 36-week period with a total of 450 hours tuition input plus additional research, guided self-study, assignments and projects. There are ten separate 3 hour exams for each module held three times year at the end of each term. NB. Applications for direct entry to the Advanced Diploma are invited from holders of relevant overseas qualifications and/or experience in hotel management. 6 modules
