COURSE CODE: DTM  

An ideal introduction to the underpinning knowledge and principals of international tourism

The Diploma in Tourism Management is designed to provide qualified, professional personnel for the international tourism business. Students will receive comprehensive training in the management, computing, economics, business skills and operational aspects necessary to embark on a management career in international tourism.

The programme will be taught over a 36-week period with a total of 450 hours tuition input plus additional research, guided self-study, assignments and projects. There are ten separate 2 and a half hour exams for each module held three times year at the end of each term.

Designatory Letters

Upon successful completion of the course students will be entitled to use the following letters after their name: ACTHCM (Associate Membership of the Confederation of Tourism, Hotel & Catering Management). Ass. Inst TT (Associate Membership of the Institute of Travel & Tourism) HCIMA Affiliate (AHCIMA) membership

Requirements A good secondary education equivalent to GCE 'O' Level standard
Qualification Gained CTHCM Diploma in Tourism Management
Course Progressions One year paid internship option plus university pathways
Fees £4150 course £450 Work Placement £25 per CTHCM exam
