The CTHCM Diplomas and Advanced Diplomas are stand-alone courses leading to professional, internationally recognized qualifications but can also be used as a pathway onto British university degrees. The qualifications are recognised by a number of universities, notably Bournemouth and Thames Valley Universities as providing appropriate academic preparation for students to apply for entry onto 2nd or final 3rd year of a BA or BSc (Hons) degree in Tourism & Hospitality Management.

Normally, universities will assess each individual student who has achieved a CTHCM Diploma or Advanced Diploma on their individual merits and experience. Consistent with requirements, students must have successfully completed Secondary or High School education. The universities usually require applicants to have a credit profile in order to demonstrate they have the capability to progress to the Second or Final year of a Degree course as appropriate.
