Visit to Camden
This week, the Social Programme visited Camden Town! The group learnt about some of the history of this diverse area. Rich in his-tory and culture, it has been the home to many groups of migrants, as well many big names such as Oa-sis and the late Amy Winehouse.
As well as being cosmopolitan, this area is well known for inde-pendent business and trade.
Next week’s trip, Thursday 24th Nov, is to the National Gallery. Be sure to sign up and come along.
Don’t miss out!
It’s coming up to that special time of year. The weather is getting colder and people are starting to think about their families. But this it is also a great time of year to visit some of London’s markets, espe-cially since the Christmas Markets have already set up around the Southbank (near the London Eye).
Look out for posters about a trip to the Christmas Markets in December. Amongst friends is a lovely way to spend a winter evening.
Before then, the Bloomsbury will be going on a trip to one of the most important markets in London. On Saturday the 26th November, the school will be visiting Borough Food Market, near London bridge.
