English Language

English language is at the heart of everything we do as an organisation. As the global language of business, travel, technology and now also diplomacy, fluency in English is the goal for many millions of people worldwide. It is the foundation for our students' success in their future careers, international social communication and further education.

With Bloomsbury International you choose quality English language training based on your individual learning needs. All our English language courses are taught using a “learner centred communicative approach” to help you achieve your personal and academic goals. All four skill areas are covered: reading, writing, speaking and listening as well as grammar and vocabulary development. We do, however, place a strong emphasis on the communication skills required in today's modern English speaking world.

On our courses, you will follow a specially designed syllabus using a set text book as the basis for your study but a wide variety of other materials, such as video and audio recordings, supplementary text books and authentic materials are used to enhance your learning and make lessons as interesting, relevant and in touch with current affairs as possible. Each classroom based lesson lasts for 50 minutes but to maximize the development of our students’ real life communication skills, we have a variety of guided self-study language pratice resources available for use between input sessions.

The minimum length for any course is one week with no upper limit. Fees decrease significantly for longer British Study Year 24-week or longer courses.

A wide range of options are available throughout the day with morning, midday and afternoon timetables and 15, 20, 25 or 30 lesson options in the following courses:
