Trouping the colour


Horse Guards As part of the Queen’s birthday celebrations, the Household Cavalry and the Queen’s personal guard will be putting on a display.


The event will be held from 11am on this Saturday 16th June on Horse Guard Parade, near St. James’ park. Tickets cost £10-£25 but you can see the parade down the Mall for free!

Hampton Court

You can now visit this beautiful former royal residence. It is just a short train ride from London and is well worth the trip! A return train ticket from Waterloo is quite cheap and, in addition, if you buy your entry ticket for the palace online, it only costs £12 for students!

Live Music


Live Music

This Friday the 22nd, there will a night of live music in the Good Ship pub in Kilburn. The pub will be open from 7:30 but the music will start at 8:30. Entry on the door is £5.

Bands playing include Xavier and the Gotta-Dos featuring Xavier Fernandez, a teacher here at Bloomsbury.


Live music in music pubs such as The Good Ship is a very British experience. It is definitely something you should try out while you’re in England.
