Free English Listening Learning
For English as a second language (ESL) learners, other than diligently attending classes and studying the English language through a correspondence or online course, there is no exercise more valuable than listening to native speakers speaking English. This is even more attractive when the speaking is free.
This kind of free English listening learning can be encountered easily in any large city in an English speaking country. Clearly, a non-native speaker will learn many forms of informal or “street” English, but how does a non-native speaker determine whether the free English listening learning is actually helpful, or will serve to teach the non-native speaker bad habits about the English language that will prevent the learner from the most effective learning of English.
Free English listening learning is also a new concept that is available in the online world through the multitude of web sites designed with video and audio in mind, by native English speakers. While the purpose of the video may be to teach, instruct or entertain on subjects not specifically English, the benefit of this model of free English listening learning is that non-native speakers can learn English while listening free to subjects that they enjoy and can learn easily. It is recommended that all ESL students take some time every week to explore the many web sites that allow free English listening learning. It is a free and effective method to better learn the English language.
