English Grammar Tips

There are several English grammar tips that can make the study of English grammar easier and more helpful for new learners of the English language. The most common of these focus on common areas of confusion for new speakers and learners of the English language. For example, words that are commonly confused, such as “shall” and “will” can be distinguished for clarity, as well as particular tenses or voices in English be studied. For example, differences can be made distinguishing present voice or tense to passive voice, the latter being largely frowned upon for native English speakers. These are all English grammar tips that are meant to encourage learners of English to focus on areas of learning they may have not otherwise thought to explore.

More sophisticated English grammar tips can also be utilized. For example, the use of apostrophes are often confused among the words “its” and “it’s” and an apostrophe is often put where it does not belong, in the case of the possessive “its” as distinguished from “it’s” meaning “it is.” These, again, are common areas of confusion for native speakers and a non-native speaker will be well-respected for the ability to make these distinctions as early as possible during his or her study of the English language. Other English grammar tips which can be helpful for non-native speakers are to understand the parts of speech and the specific syntax of paragraphs in order to consistently form correct sentences in English. This may take years of practice but can be mastered in time.
