COURSE CODE: DCCHM

“An ideal introduction to key aspects of the role of airline cabin crew, fares & ticketing and the underpinning knowledge and principals of the hospitality industry, this course is suitable for college leavers or employees with industry experience wishing to attain a professional qualification to enhance their career prospects”

The Diploma in Cabin Crew & Hospitality Management aims to provide students with a broad understanding of various interrelated fields in the cabin crew, fares & ticketing and hospitality industries. The training, skills and qualifications gained will allow graduates to work in a variety of disciplines whether their choice is to embark on a career with an international airline as cabin crew or in the ticketing department or, in the international hospitality industry.

No previous experience or training is required for entry to this first year programme which starts from the very beginning and introduces the basic ingredients of each of the disciplines. On the course, students will gain an understanding of the role of airline cabin crew, identifying the importance of team work, security procedures, customer care, health and safety, investigating the airline industry, the importance of aircraft checks and documentation, researching employment, preparing CVs and completing job application forms.

The Virgin Atlantic Fares and Ticketing and GDS qualifications, recognised throughout the travel industry, can be used for employment with any major airline or travel agency in the world while the CTHCM management modules will provide basic knowledge of running a food and beverage operation and the underlying principles of nutrition.
