Advanced Diploma in Tourism Management
COURSE CODE: ADTM

Training for more senior departmental positions & general management

The Advanced Diploma in Tourism Management is designed for people who aim to become major players in the tourist industry, either as decision makers influencing the growth and development of regional or national tourism, or as tour operators providing complete holiday 'packages'.

Students will be provided with the specialist skills and understanding of the managerial, decision making and leadership aspects of the international tour operation industry. It also aims to develop student’s independent research skills which will be required when working as a senior manager in the industry.

The Advanced Diploma should be considered as a logical second year study option for holders of the Diploma in Travel Agency Management and for those wishing to progress onto year three of degree studies at a British university.

The programme will be taught over a 36-week period with a total of 450 hours tuition input plus additional research, guided self-study, assignments and projects. There are formative assessments and separate 3 hour exams for each module held three times year at the end of each term.
